Our artist educator Pete Moorhouse, provided voluntary training to teachers in Nepal and Bhutan over the Easter holidays.
In Nepal Pete was supporting teachers in the heart of the region worst affected by the earthquake, where 95% of all house had been destroyed. Pete shared current best practice form the UK in terms of encouraging creativity. Pete also delivered training in Bhutan at an International conference organised by UNICEF. Currently in Bhutan there is no Early Years provision and UNICEF have just built a teacher training college. They are very keen to introduce woodwork in their developing curriculum and Pete is fundraising to be able to send tools to the new training college.
