Green Room – Writing, Flooding, and Rhythm!

In Green Room we have been working on strengthening our fingers for writing and practising writing our names using our name cards to copy at first.

After a lot of rain we always get a flood outside of Green Room door! We have been using problem solving and critical thinking in order to try to move the water away from the doorway and prevent it coming inside. Some of us used buckets to scoop, some of us used crates to make a bridge and a boat!

We had great fun using the enormous drum to explore rhythm which is linked to our phonics learning. We were able to copy rhythms and make up some of our own. We used our listening ears to bang loudly, softly, quickly and slowly.
