Newsletter – Term 3 – January 2019

I can’t believe we are already half way through the year! It has been a busy term with new children joining us, Project Week and of course the snow. The children have been telling me lots of stories about the snowmen they built with you at home. I love snow and especially love hearing the children’s excitement! Project Week was exciting too. Please see our Face Book page for photos and information about why we decided to focus on “Handa’s Surprise”. The children had fun learning about this “journey” story. We will be using more great stories to focus some of our work with the children. We want the children to have a rich experience of books and story telling here at Nursery. You can help with this too by sharing your favourite stories from your childhood. Tell your children the stories you were told, share books, looking at the pictures and even let your children choose their favourites for you to read to them. World Book Day is in March and we hope to make a week of it this year. We’re hoping you will join us and come into Nursery to share stories from around the world with the children. We’ll look forward to hearing your stories too!
