As I am sure many of you already know, our lovely Orange Room teacher, Naomi is going to have a baby! We are all absolutely delighted with this wonderful news but also very sad that she will be leaving us for a while to have her baby. I know many parents/carers and especially the children will really miss seeing her at school. It has been particularly hard as we have not been able to give her the send-off she deserves during this lockdown period. I know that she will be desperate to show the baby off and we will let you know as soon as her baby is here.
We hope that there will be an opportunity for you to see Naomi and the baby as soon as it is safe to do so.
In the meantime, I would like to introduce our new maternity cover teacher, Nicola Brinkworth. She will be joining the school on June 15th. Nicola has written a short piece to introduce herself:
“I’m Nicola Brinkworth and I am incredibly excited to join the St Werburgh’s Park Nursery team. I graduated from Plymouth University where I earned a BEd Hons Primary Education degree with a specialism in Early Childhood Studies and QTS. Since then I have been teaching reception class children for 7 fantastic years. I have a passion for early learning, especially enriching young minds through play and mindful experiences. I love working with children and seeing them grow every day. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with your children. I can’t wait to help them grow as individuals! In my free time I enjoy travelling, singing and spending time on the farm with my partner and family as well as my 2 pet reptiles Hugo and Terry. I am looking forward to meeting you and your children soon.”
We are excited that Nicola will be joining us. We are looking forward to having all the children back with us as soon so we can welcome her together.
Take care and stay safe everyone,
