It is so lovely to finally see the signs of spring and equally lovely to have all of our children returning to us! We really have missed them! Children have already begun to return and all children will be back to their full hours by the end of next week, in line with Government advice. We have chosen to bring the children back over a two week period as we feel this is better for children, helping them to settle back in with care.
If you have not spoken with a staff member at school about your child’s return, please ring us straight away. We have managed to speak to the majority of families but I know there are still one of two where contact has been more challenging.
I would like to say thank you so much for all your support through this 3rd lockdown period. It has been a worrying and difficult time for our community. I hope that you and your family have stayed safe and well through this time.
Next Thursday 11th March will be World Book Day for our school. We decided to delay this event by a week so that we can include as many children as possible in this celebration of story and reading. We are asking that children come to Nursery dressed in their pyjamas and bring their favourite bedtime story. We will share these stories through their session in small groups. Staff will also be sharing their favourite children’s stories. We are really looking forward to sharing this event with you.
Please remember to wear a mask when you are bringing your child into Nursery or picking them up. There are extra masks available should you forget to bring one. Also, please be mindful of staggered start times and our one-way system.
I would also like to send a special thanks to Lucy, a parent in Green Room who has been maintaining our front garden. It really is looking lovely! If anyone else can spare time for a spot of weeding/clipping please ask. We have such lovely gardens here, but gardens grow and need lots of care!
