Letter from the Head

The nursery school in 1933.

Welcome to St. Werburgh’s Park Nursery School.

You will find us on Glenfrome Road next to St. Werburgh’s Primary School.

We are proud of our history having been a Nursery School funded by Bristol City Council since 1931.

We have a long history of teaching young children and are proud of the fact that we have qualified and experienced teachers in each of our nursery classes, a special needs co-ordinator who is a teacher, a deputy head teacher and then me as head teacher.

Every member of our large staff team is qualified to work with young children and we are all passionate about children’s learning.

Our school is extremely well resourced with a large and beautiful garden and we provide rich and stimulating learning experiences for all our children. We see every child as an individual and aim to welcome all families and children what ever their needs or backgrounds. Support is offered through our partnerships with other agencies like health but also through the staff in school who are experienced and skilled at working with young children.

We look forward to meeting you and your child and hope that this site gives you a good insight into how we work together with our community.
